The goal was to create low maintenance landscaping that looks as if it has always existed while tying in the contemporary cottage with the rugged beauty of the Georigan Bay.
Features
Granite stone steps blend in perfectly with the surrounding Canadian Shield. Jumbo size flagstone pieces are used as walkways to get around the expansive property. Retaining walls were built using existing rock onsite to create a level area for the walkways and kept the hardscape looking natural. Granite pea stone was laid to create a clean look while being very low maintenance. Multiple patios and custom stone benches give lots of outdoor living area to enjoy the gorgeous scenery. All of the existing windswept pines were carefully worked around to keep the authentic Georgian Bay style.
